Black Men in White Coats Discussion Panel Online
Fewer black men applied to medical school in 2014 than in 1978, now only 2% of American doctors are black men. The documentary, Black Men in White Coats, which dissects the systemic barriers preventing black men from becoming medical doctors and the consequences for society at large, will be viewable to the public on February 15-19 (click here to view).
The Rochester Public Library (RPL) has gathered a panel of local doctors and medical professionals as a companion to the documentary. Join us for this Zoom panelist discussion on February 19 at 6:30 pm (click here to register).
The Central Library will be featuring superhero posters of local black medical professionals in the month of February. Most of these posters feature our panelists!
