Getting Back On Your Bike: An Introduction to Cycling in Rochester (Zoom Program) Online

virtual presentation, Saturday, April 24, 2021 1-2pm  (Zoom link will be sent the morning of the event)

Many people like the idea of biking more but don’t feel safe mixing with traffic. Get the confidence you need to enjoy biking more with this free presentation from Reconnect Rochester. The class takes an imaginative look at the many benefits of cycling and its viability as a transportation option. It'll dismantle many misconceptions, lessen peoples' fears with current statistics, and impart some basic traffic safety/commuting information. This is the perfect class to get ready for National Bike Month and Rochester Bike Week.

Jesse Peers is Cycling Coordinator for Reconnect Rochester and is a certified bike educator through the League of American Bicyclists. He bikes for transportation year-round and has been car-free for over seven years. An apprehensive rider when he first started biking, it took taking a class like this to get him comfortable.
