The Remarkable Life of Frank Lloyd Wright

The Remarkable Life of Frank Lloyd Wright Online

The Remarkable Life of Frank Lloyd Wright: Join Frank Lloyd Wright expert Kim Bixler (Cornell University ’91) for a multi-media presentation via Zoom on Wednesday, May 19th at 7:00 PM. Kim will cover Wright’s rise from a poor Wisconsin farm-boy into one of America’s most famous architects. Wright’s journey was a remarkable one—a life defined by tragedy, hubris and scandal. Kim Bixler’s family owned Wright’s 1908 Edward E. Boynton House in Rochester. She is featured in the PBS documentary Frank Lloyd Wright’s Boynton House: The Next Hundred Years and appeared on NPR’s Here & Now in conjunction with Wright’s 150th Birthday celebration. Kim has done dozens of lectures at museums, architecture firms, libraries, schools and numerous Wright sites including Taliesin West, Unity Temple, the Darwin Martin House, Wright’s Mason City Iowa sites, the Marin County Civic Center, the Hollyhock House and more. Zoom seats are limited. When you register in advance on our calendar of events, you will receive the Zoom link on the day of the event.
