Learn Python with ROC Code In-Person

Learn Python programming for free, in an in-person community-wide event! Students of any age are welcome, and no prior experience is needed. Students will create a simple, fun, beginner-level project or game that will get them started on their coding journey! The one and a half hour sessions will be held in person July 2nd 2:00-3:30 and August 6th 2:00-3:30 and will be taught by experienced high school programmers from ROC Code!

Bio: Angel Tang and Vinay Pendri are students at Mendon High School. They are the founders of ROC Code, an organization striving to connect student programmers with those interested in programming to produce the next generation of computer scientists! ROC Code is partnering with the Gates Public Library to bring this programming event to the community, but also offers one on one coding sessions for those who are interested in taking a deeper dive into programming!

Getting ready: Be sure to sign up for a Repl Account in order to jump right into coding during the program!

Note: Feel free to bring your own laptop! Otherwise, laptops will be available for use during the program.
