Unlocking Classical Music (virtual) -

Thursday, August 5 from 7:00-8:30 PM

For Adults

*Registration opens July 22*

A link to the virtual program will be emailed the morning of August 5 by Penfield Public Library. Popular music changes with the times. Once, Beethoven, Verdi, Mozart, Stravinsky, and other classical composers created the popular music of the day. Not so much now. However, the same skills we use to listen to today’s pop music can be carried over into classical music of yesteryear. The language spoken by classical music may not be as well known today, but you can learn. Join Herb Smith, guest conductor and 3rd trumpet of RPO, as he helps you interpret and unlock the language of classical music. This program, part of a series highlighting participants of In This Moment: Revolution, Reckoning, Reparation, is jointly sponsored by Penfield Public Library, Pittsford Community Library, and Webster Public Library.
