Story Time Visit with Local Author Kristen Nordstrom In-Person
Kristen Bott Nordstrom - Brockport HS graduate, M.Ed. from Pepperdine, and elementary STEM teacher, has written a picture book for Charlesbridge Publishing on ten inventors from around that world that have studied nature, made a discovery, and invented technology based on their discovery that helps people and our planet. How did a bird help transform one of the fastest trains on the planet? How did a tiny beetle teach humans how to collect water in the desert? Mimic Makers: Biomimicry Inventors Inspired by Nature brings the young reader and budding scientist into the fascinating world of nature, biomimicry, and new technology.
