Mourning in the Morning - Rochester Mystery: the Disappearance of Emma Moore

Mourning in the Morning - Rochester Mystery: the Disappearance of Emma Moore In-Person

When the daughter of a respected Rochester family inexplicably disappeared in November 1854, the mysterious incident was reported in the New York Times and newspapers across the country. Four months later the recovery of her lifeless body created a national sensation. Perhaps Rochester’s oldest cold case, the story of Emma Moore opens a window on both the investigation of crime and life in mid-nineteenth-century Rochester.
