Guided Walking Tour: Beyond Flour and Flowers: Industry in Rochester In-Person
Join staff from the Rochester Public Library and the Office of the City Historian for a guided walking tour focused on Rochester's industrial heritage. The tour begins at the site of a former flour mill and ends at the site of a former seed store, representing two of the industries that give Rochester its nicknames as the Flour City and the Flower City. Along the way, we'll explore some of the myriad enterprises that helped the city thrive and earn a reputation as a site of innovation. The tour route is approximately 1.1 miles.
Meet on the south terrace outside the Central Library of Rochester & Monroe County's Rundel Memorial Building at the corner of South Avenue and Court Street.
This event is offered in partnership with the City of Rochester as part of Roc the Riverway Weekend 2021.
