Cannabis-related businesses will be highly regulated. Join us to learn from experts and get support from other cannabis entrepreneurs so you can effectively and legally operate your business. This group is faciliated by NY HempLab and ROC NORML.
Regulations around cannabis operations dropped in November. This month, learn about the standards and practices businesses will have to operate within, presented by Jason Klimek, co-leader of Barclay Damon's Cannabis Team. Jason primarily concentrates his practice on the nuanced processes of structuring, licensing, and maintaining compliant cannabis businesses at the federal, state, and local levels. He has extensive experience advising clients, including cannabis companies, startups, small to midsize technology companies, and medical professionals, on various complex federal and state tax compliance issues affecting cannabis-touching businesses as well as entity selection, funding, intellectual property, employment matters, and securities transactions.  

This group is open to those who are in the planning or startup stages of a cannabis related business. Funding for this program was made possible by the Harold Hacker Grant for the Advancement of Libraries.
