RESCHEDULED FOR MARCH 15: This and That about Languages (in-person) In-Person

RESCHEDULED: This and That about Languages (in-person) -

This event has been rescheduled for March 15. Thank you for your understanding!

We use language daily, but usually don’t think about it. We use it to express ourselves, to read news, to learn new things, and to communicate with our family members, colleagues, and friends. Our native language is there in our brain and we use it effortlessly. We start using that part of our brain if someone addresses us with a different accent or dialect. Language is not so much words but meaning! Librarian Stephanie Hranjec will share her knowledge about some hidden aspects of languages, their facts, and surprising curiosities.
