Sew a Felt Chick with CreativeBug Online
Sew a Felt chick with Alison from CreativeBug
Saturday, May 14th
11:00am – 12:30pm
Online via Zoom
The Rochester Public Library is now subscribed to CreativeBug – Thousands of award-winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists. In this program, librarians Melissa and Renee will introduce you to CreativeBug and will guide you through a video tutorial with CreativeBug artist Alison. You’ll learn how two hand-stitched projects—a sweet stuffed chick and a companion basket. The egg-shaped chicks are a cinch to stitch and stuff, and the basket comes together with just a few rows of sewing. Display them in an egg carton for whimsical spring décor.
This intermediate level course is for ages 16 and older; prior sewing knowledge is recommended.
The Central Library will supply the following materials which can be picked up the week of May 9th: felt, fiberfill stuffing, embroidery floss and paper templates. Please have all paper template pieces cut out prior to class.
You will need to supply your own: sewing needle, fabric scissors and paper scissors. Pins are optional.
Registration is required to receive the link to the Zoom meeting.
