HOW YOU CAN PROTECT YOUR WATERSHED?
We all live in a watershed... but, what’s a watershed? In this hands-on program, we'll use our Enviroscape (model of a watershed) to teach students what a watershed is and how we can protect it in our everyday lives.

Participants will also learn about macroinvertebrates: small aquatic life such as insectlarva, beetles, and snails to name a few. The students will discover how those macroinvertebrates play a role in helping scientists determine the quality of our waterways.

The program also focuses on pollution (runoff of fertilizers, pet waste, and plastics) and the challenges our environment face from these. We also look at wetlands with their important job of filtering our water as well as support the ecosystem.
