This program will take you to some of the Normandy beaches on D-Day. You will see some of the museums that France has constructed in memory of D-Day and for those who died. You will also visit the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, parallel to the English Channel. Lastly, visit the English Channel Island of Guernsey and see its present beauty, but also sites from the German occupation in World War II. Presenter Christine Simons took this trip in June, 2019 during the 75th anniversary year of D-Day.
