The Light of Days: The Untold Story of Women Resistance Fighters in Hitler's Ghettos, by Judy Batalion is about a group of young Polish Jewish women who convert Jewish youth groups into units able to repel the Nazis. Reviewed by Barbara Appelbaum, retired director of the Center for Holocaust Awareness and Information, Jewish Federation of Rochester. The program will be in-person.
