There are so many different types of tomatoes available to us today that weren’t around when our grandmothers were putting up jars of tomato sauce. Why is that important? As tomatoes change, canning recipes need to also change to ensure your food safety; unfortunately, treasured family recipes may not be considered safe anymore. At this hands-on session, we’ll use a Boiling Water Bath method to make hot-pack Crushed Tomatoes and raw-pack Whole Tomatoes. If you’re new to canning tomatoes or just want a refresher, join us for this informative yet fun & interactive class on Thursday, August 18th from 7:00-8:30 PM in the William Udicious Pavilion
