You Can Be Anything Author Visit
Brandon Hester-Harrell, visits the Arnett Branch Library to launch his new children's book, You Can Be Anything!
You Can Be Anything! is an engaging story that demonstrates the power of affirmations in young children. Joshua, a boy who is nervous about his first day of school, and his father speaks life into him by providing examples of influential African American trailblazers. With an enlightened perspective, Joshua goes to school and meets another nervous student. Joshua chooses to affirm the nervous boy as his father affirmed him. Now friends, both boys happily approach their first day of a great school year together.
Author Bio Brandon Hester- Harrell is a Rochester native, father, graduate of MCC, and now a published author. Recognizing the consistent trauma pledging our city and the lack of books that amplify black and brown characters, he began the journey of writing a book.
