Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Tabling In-Person
The Monroe County Department of Public Health will have a table set up in the library with information on childhood lead poisoning prevention and resources for parents and community members.
While Lead based paint, dust, and soil remain the greatest exposure source of lead to the children in our community, other materials containing lead are readily available and may also contribute to lead exposures in children and adults. Such sources include toys, food/spices, medicines and cosmetics. See Recall Alert Information web link for surveillance and recall information on a variety products known or assumed to contain lead.
