"Descended from the Promised Land" Viewing & Discussion In-Person
The descendants of Black Wall Street were robbed twice, first by the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre and then through laws and policy that dismantled the rebuilding of Black Wall Street. We draw a century-long thread through the lens of those descended from the “Black Promised Land,” revealing the lingering trauma endured when a thriving Black community is repeatedly targeted for systematic destruction.
