Amerks’ Reading Power Play
The Rochester Americans Hockey team will be partnering with Monroe County Libraries for reading incentives and visits this year. The full schedule is located online at www.amerks.com/readingpowerplay. Using the hat trick as an educational incentive, kids fill out a form for every three books they read, which then qualifies them for an entry into the grand prize drawing. Along with attending the game in a suite, the two winners will drop the puck in a ceremony prior to the game. Entry blanks are available at the Rush Library, and Amerks players and The Moose mascot will be at Wendy’s Henrietta Location on Tuesday, December 6th at 6:30 PM.; they’ll be reading to kids and giving a brief hockey demonstration. Each appearance also features a raffle and an autograph session by the visiting player and The Moose as well as complimentary ticket offer for each youth in attendance. We hope to see you there!
