 PM\n\nFor Adults\n\nDwight D. Eisenhower is one of the most important 
 historical figures of the 20th century. Born in the Midwest of a common 
 upbringing\, he graduated from West Point and went on to be involved in WWI 
 and WWII. During WWII\, he was the Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in 
 Europe and in the 1950s served two terms as president during the Cold War. 
 His involvement and actions in some of the most important historical events 
 in the last century helped to shape the world we live in today. MCC 
 Professor of History Mark Sample will tell the story of this important 
 figure.\n\n
