SUMMARY:Sleuths & Sidekicks: A Mystery Author Panel
DESCRIPTION:This is an online Zoom program. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED (See
below). Registrants will receive the Zoom link one hour before the program
begins.\n\nSleuths & Sidekicks” is an interactive virtual event featuring
the authors of four mystery series: The Batavia-on-Hudson Mysteries\, The
Blackwell and Watson Time-Travel Mysteries\, The Maggie White Mysteries and
The Southern California Mysteries\n\nA great mystery series is about more
than a puzzling crime. It’s the sleuths and their sidekicks who make us
fall in love with a book. Join Tina deBellegarde\, Jen Collins Moore\,
Carol Pouliot\, and Lida Sideris for an interactive conversation about
their detectives and their sidekicks. \n\nFree and open to the public.
Registration is required in order to obtain the Zoom link.\n\nHosted by the
Arts & Literature Division. For additional information\, please contact
 Carol.Moldt@libraryweb.org or 428-8380.\n\nAbout the Authors:\n\nNominated
for the Agatha Award for Best New Novel\, the Retreat West and the Blue
Pencil Agency’s First Novel Award\, Winter Witness is the first in Tina
DeBellegarde's Batavia-on-Hudson Mystery Series. Tina lives in Catskill\,
New York with her husband Denis and their cat Shelby. When she isn’t
writing\, Tina is helping Denis tend their beehives\, harvest shiitake
mushrooms\, and cultivate their vegetable garden. She travels to Japan
regularly to visit her son Alessandro.\n\nJen Collins Moore transports
readers to Rome in her new series\, the Maggie White Mysteries. The perfect
blend of funny and smart\, Jen’s debut novel\, Murder in the Piazza\, is
filled with the art\, history and food of Europe’s greatest city. The
founder of Meez Meals\, Jen lives in Chicago with her husband and two
sons.\n\nAn unexplained vision led Carol Poulliot to create the acclaimed
Blackwell and Watson Time-Travel Mysteries\, traditional police procedurals
with a seemingly impossible relationship between Depression-era cop Steven
Blackwell and 21st-century journalist Olivia Watson. With their fast pace
and unexpected twists and turns\, both Doorway to Murder (Book 1) and
Threshold of Deceit (Book 2) have earned readers’ praise. A former
teacher and business owner\, Carol now enjoys the peace and quiet of the
countryside in Upstate New York where she happily works on her series as
the snow reaches over 13 feet every winter.\n\nLida Sideris' first stint
after law school was a newbie lawyer's dream: working as an entertainment
attorney for a movie studio...kind of like her heroine\, Corrie Locke\,
except without the homicides. Lida was one of two national winners of the
Helen McCloy Mystery Writers of America Scholarship Award for her first
book. She lives in the northern tip of Southern California with her
family\, rescue dogs and a flock of uppity chickens.\n\n \n\n
