Rochester's Latinx Community: Contributions and Potential In-Person / Online

JOIN US for an inspiring event with Dr. Bolgen Vargas, Latinx community leader and former superintendent of Rochester City School District. Dr. Vargas will talk about his journey from a life of poverty in a small Dominican village to becoming an influential educator and author in New York, highlighting the transformative power of education in overcoming challenges faced by Rochester’s Latinx community.

Dr. Bolgen Vargas is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Mid-Career Program in Educational Leadership and has written about educational issues in local and national publications. He is the author of Let Our Children Soar!: The Complexity and Possibilities of Educating the English Language Student.

Registration is recommended but not required.
