First Wednesdays for Small Business - Franchising

First Wednesdays for Small Business - Franchising

Are you an aspiring business owner or already own a business? Join us the first Wednesday of each month to learn business basics to help you succeed! This program is in partnership with the Small Business Development Center and the US Small Business Administration.

What the heck is a franchise? Admit it. You just thought about McDonald's, didn't you? You're right, but...
There are a wide variety of franchises that aren't in the food business and don't require the huge investment that a McDonald's does. You just need to know how to find and evaluate them. With over 3200 franchises available in the United States, there should be one that is right for you.
There are people who can help you discover, qualify, and acquire a franchise that matches your interests, skills and financial capability. We'll cover all three areas at this seminar. Topics:
  1. General Overview of Franchising
  2. Panel of Advisors - Attorney, CPA, Banker, and others
  3. Panel of Franchisees - Real people who are currently running franchise businesses
  4. Panel of Franchisors - Talking about franchises that are available in Rochester
  5. Talk with panelists individually
Enhance your opportunity for success with knowledge. John Adams, Senior Franchise Consultant with FranNet of Rochester, will be facilitating this free seminar.
Convenient parking is nearby in the Court St and South Ave Garages.
The Central Library is accessible to people with disabilities. The program is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U. S. Small Business Administration. Services are extended to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis.
